- “Everyone Jump” song, Song Lyrics, Audio Player, Chart Paper, Blank Paper, Markers, Pencil Crayons.
- Activity Description:
- This cross-curricular activity provides the opportunity for students to creatively respond to music through writing or drawing and perform a dance routine.
- Overview:

- Play the song “Everyone Jump” and have students follow the lyrics to the song by doing activities described by the song.
- Play the song again and have the students either write or draw how the song makes them feel or about an experience the song reminds them of.
- Have the students share their creations with a small group. As a group they discuss how the song made them feel and what activities can be done with this song.
- In alarge group share and create a master list of activities.
- In small groups, students will then create dance routines to accompany the song “Everyone Jump.”
- Students will perform their dances to the music for the class.
- Students could perform, lead or teach their dances to younger students in the school.
- Other Ideas:

- Another option would be to have the students work in groups and create jump rope routines instead of dance routines.
